Varsity vs Battle Creek Academy (44 - 20) Win In their season opener, the Athens Varsity Boys Basketball team secured a 44-20 victory over Battle Creek Academy. The team was led in scoring by Jackson Crummel, finishing with 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals. Kale Kiefer had an all around game with 8 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block. Ethan O'Connor added 8 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Silas Hall had 7 points and 8 rebounds, and Heath Tigges rounded out the strong performance with 5 pts, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals. The team starts the year strong at 1-0! Go Athens!
