7th Grade vs Colon High School (20 - 22) Loss 8th Grade vs Colon High School (24 - 12) Win Athens's 7th-grade team's comeback fell just short in the fourth quarter. They dropped a close one to Colon on Monday night, 22-20. Trailing 20-13 entering the fourth, Athens made a ferocious comeback, but a foul on a three-point attempt sent the Magi to the line for the game-winning free throws. Emory Ansley had 9 points and a clutch three-pointer to tie the game at 20. Graham Bronsink also added seven points in the loss. Athens 8th grade team entered the win column on Monday night, taking down Colon behind a strong defensive performance 24-12. The win improves Athens' record to 1-2 on the season. Greyson Moulds finished with 12 points, and Luke Tuttle got to the free-throw line early and often, adding five points of his own. Athens will be back in action next Monday, November 25th when they take on Union City.
