7th Grade vs Burr Oak High School (24 - 11) Win 8th Grade vs Burr Oak High School (21 - 30) Loss The Athens 7th grade team improved their record to 2-0 on Monday night inside Athens field house, limiting Burr Oak to just 6 points in the second half and walking away victorious, 24-11. Emory Ansley scored eight points and continued his ferocious defensive streak, adding in five steals. Remy Kidney scored a season high four points and Colton Snodderly also added a bucket in the win. Athens will be back in action at home inside of Athens Field house on Wednesday, November 13th taking on Bellevue Middle School. The Athens 8th grade teams comeback fell just short, dropping the opening game of the season to Burr Oak on Monday, 30-21. Athens out scored the Bobcats 9-2 in the fourth quarter, but we’re unable to crack the zone early on in the game. Porter Moulds led the way in scoring, dropping 10 points and grabbing a handful of rebounds. Athens will be back in action on Wednesday, November 13th inside of Athens Field House, taking in Bellevue middle school.
