Varsity vs Burr Oak High School (41 - 40) Win The girls varsity basketball team won an absolute thriller against Burr Oak 41-40 in the district semifinals. With 2 of the team’s leading scorers fouling out in the 3rd quarter, the girls found themselves down 37-24 early in the 4th quarter and it seemed like fat lady was getting ready to sing on the Lady Indians season. A 17-3 run to close out the game was led by a superb team defensive effort coupled with Maria Bronsink and Zoey Williams leading the charge on offense. Against all odds, the girls found a way to survive and advance.
