7th Grade vs Climax-Scotts High School (16 - 17) Loss 8th Grade vs Climax-Scotts High School (25 - 8) Win The Athens 7th grade team dropped its third game of the season on Monday, falling to Climax-Scotts 17-16. The Indians had a shot at a last-second buzzer beater, but the ball rolled off the front of the rim. Michael Krontz and Colton Snodderly led the team in points, pouring in four each. Jaxson Drake rebounded the ball efficiently and led the team with 9 boards. ------ The Athens 8th grade team picked up its first win of the 2025 campaign on Wednesday night, taking down Climax-Scotts 25-8 inside of Athens Field-house. The win moves the Indians to 1-2 on the young season. Cameron Krontz led all scorers with eight points and was ferocious on the boards, racking in 10 rebounds. Stetson Bard also played the best game of his middle school career, pouring in four points along with 8 rebounds and multiple assists. Greyson Thomas led the team in assists, finding the open man on numerous occasions and helping lead his team to the victory. Athens heads back on the road next Monday, heading to the magic capital of the world, taking on the Colon Magi looking to even its record.
